The tee that passes the first-ten-seconds test

For a lot of kids, whether a shirt gets worn comes down to how it feels in the first ten seconds. If it’s scratchy, stiff or clingy, it goes back in the drawer.

The Respite Tee is made to pass that test, and then keep up with the rest of the day.

Smooth from the first touch

The fabric is a soft, silky-smooth performance knit with no rough texture to notice. It moves over the skin instead of catching on it. For kids who feel every seam and every stiff spot, it’s one less thing to push through between classroom, recess, practice and home.

Stretch that comes back

With 10% spandex, the fabric stretches in every direction. Cartwheels, monkey bars and warm-ups don’t feel restricted, and the tee recovers its shape afterward, so it doesn’t bag at the hem or sag at the shoulders by the end of the day.

Dry, not clingy

Active kids run warm. The 90% polyester fabric pulls sweat away from the skin to the surface, where it dries quickly. That means less of the damp, heavy cling that makes a shirt hard to tolerate on a hot afternoon.

Covered, without the bulk

Many kids’ tees are so thin they’re nearly see-through. At 180 GSM, this one has enough body to feel covered without layering an undershirt, and it’s still light enough for warm days. The denser knit also holds up better to playground wear.

Safety you can check

Every kids’ tee we sell is tested by an independent, CPSC-accepted lab and covered by a Children’s Product Certificate. That includes:

  • Lead: The fabric and the DTF print are tested to federal limits.
  • Flammability: It meets the federal standard for clothing textiles.
  • Tracking labels: Each tee carries a permanent label, so it can be traced back to its production batch.

These are the standards every children’s garment in the US must meet. We test to them because you shouldn’t have to wonder.

Easy on laundry day

The polyester blend resists shrinking and fading and comes out of the dryer with few wrinkles. It works with shorts for gym class or jeans for the weekend.
